A suitable existing mask and breathing tube may be reused, so you do not need to buy them again. Their condition, cleanliness, fit and compatibility with the supplied machine should be checked before use.
Okto does not disinfect and reissue used patient masks or breathing tubes.

Okto Healthcare operates an ISO 13485-certified quality-management system. This supports controlled medical-device service processes; it is not a claim that Okto prescribes therapy or that every machine model carries the same certification.
Equipment hygiene
Applicable reusable equipment components are physically cleaned, processed through the applicable disinfection protocol, adequately aerated and visually inspected before dispatch.
Pre-dispatch checks
The machine’s condition and basic functioning are checked, and a new compatible disposable filter is supplied with the rental order.

Patients and caregivers can contact Okto for basic operation, maintenance, mask compatibility, tubing, humidifier use and equipment-related questions during the rental.

A trained biomedical engineer can guide the patient or caregiver through connections, humidifier basics, mask fitting, routine operation and common equipment alerts by video call.
Delivery and return charges are paid by the user when this online-installation route is selected.
₹1,000 home setup add-on
A trained biomedical engineer visits the patient’s home to set up the available equipment, explain basic use, check the mask connection and verify that the entered settings match the prescription supplied by the treating doctor.
Clinical decisions stay with your doctor
Okto’s engineer provides equipment support only. BiPAP mode, pressure, oxygen connection and any change in treatment must be directed by the patient’s qualified treating doctor.

Who may be advised to use BiPAP?
A doctor may advise non-invasive ventilation for some people with obstructive sleep apnoea, COPD, obesity hypoventilation syndrome, neuromuscular weakness or other breathing disorders. Suitability depends on the diagnosis and clinical condition; renting a machine is not a diagnosis or a treatment guarantee.
Practical care and emergency guidance
Power planning
Use a suitable electrical outlet and discuss backup power planning with the care team when interruption could be medically important. Do not use damaged plugs, cables or extension boards.
Daily care
Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for daily mask and accessory cleaning. Keep the machine dry, stable and well ventilated, and use distilled water only where a compatible humidifier requires it.
Emergency symptoms
Severe breathing difficulty, bluish lips, confusion, chest pain, collapse or another emergency requires urgent medical care. Contact local emergency medical services; do not rely on equipment-support calls.

Is the BiPAP rental machine disinfected?
Yes. Okto cleans and disinfects applicable reusable rental-equipment components before dispatch, checks the machine’s basic functioning and supplies a new compatible disposable filter. Patient masks and breathing tubes supplied by Okto are brand new and charged separately.
Is the mask included in the rental?
No. A brand-new compatible mask, brand-new breathing tube and medical-grade distilled water are available at additional cost when required. Patients may use their own suitable compatible mask and tube after their condition and compatibility are checked.
Can Okto decide or change my BiPAP pressure?
No. BiPAP should be used on a qualified doctor’s advice. The mode and pressure must follow the treating doctor’s prescription, and clinical changes must be discussed with that doctor.
