Existing accessories

The correct accessory depends on the prescription and machine connection.
Disinfection, equipment checks and ISO 13485 processes
Okto Healthcare operates an ISO 13485-certified quality-management system supporting controlled medical-device-related service processes. This is not a claim that Okto prescribes oxygen or that every concentrator model has the same certification.
Prepared before dispatch
Applicable reusable rental-equipment components are cleaned and disinfected before dispatch. The machine is visually inspected and checked for basic operation.
New disposable filter
A new compatible disposable machine filter is supplied. Disposable, damaged or unsuitable components are not treated as reusable simply because they were cleaned.
Bangalore-based support
Patients and caregivers can contact Okto for machine operation, basic care, common equipment alerts and accessory-compatibility guidance during the rental.
Free video guidance or ₹1,000 home setup
Free biomedical engineer video call
A trained biomedical engineer can guide the patient or caregiver through machine placement, power connection, cannula connection, basic operation, cleaning and routine device care.
Delivery and return charges are paid by the user when this online route is selected.
Biomedical engineer at home
For an optional ₹1,000, a trained biomedical engineer—not an untrained delivery person—visits the home for machine setup, cannula placement guidance, connection checks and basic setup verification.
Doctor-prescribed settings
The engineer may verify that the machine is operating at the flow rate supplied in the doctor’s instructions but does not prescribe or independently change oxygen flow.
How home oxygen concentrator rental works
- Share the doctor’s oxygen prescription, required flow rate and intended hours of use.
- Confirm whether a 5L concentrator is suitable; higher-flow needs must be medically verified.
- Share the Bangalore location, required date and expected rental duration.
- Confirm machine availability, deposit, accessories, logistics and setup choice.
- Complete rental documentation, identity verification and payment.
- Receive the cleaned, disinfected and basic-function-checked machine.
- Use free video guidance or add the ₹1,000 biomedical engineer home visit.
- Return the complete equipment as agreed for deposit assessment.
Oxygen safety and daily care
Fire safety
Keep oxygen equipment away from smoking, flames, candles, gas stoves, sparks, heat sources and flammable products. Do not use oil or petroleum-based products around oxygen equipment.
Machine placement
Keep the concentrator upright, dry and well ventilated with clear air inlets. Do not place it under bedding, against curtains or in an enclosed cupboard. Follow the supplied device instructions.
Power and backup planning
An oxygen concentrator requires electricity. Discuss an appropriate backup plan with the treating team, especially when interruption of oxygen may be clinically important.
Do not alter oxygen flow
Use only the prescribed flow rate. Do not increase or reduce oxygen based solely on a single oximeter reading without advice from the treating doctor.
Cannula care
Keep the cannula clean, unkinked and correctly connected. Follow replacement and cleaning guidance, and report nasal irritation, pressure injury or persistent discomfort to the care team.
Emergency symptoms
Severe breathlessness, bluish lips, chest pain, confusion, collapse, rapidly worsening oxygen levels or another emergency requires urgent medical care. Contact emergency medical services; do not rely only on an equipment-support call.
A home oxygen concentrator is not an emergency oxygen cylinder and does not produce oxygen during a power failure. Individual needs vary; the treating doctor decides whether concentrator oxygen is appropriate.
